Robert Davis
Commander District 10 - Army

Sergeant Robert Davis enlisted in the United States Army while attending Mercer High School, Mercer, Wisconsin. He entered the Army Security Agency (ASA) and upon receiving clearances/training, was assigned to the newly formed 329th ASA company based in South Korea in support of intel, communications, and electronic warfare activity for the 2nd Inf Division from January 1976 - February 1977. After returning from overseas, he was assigned to the 337th ASA Company, Ft. Riley, Kansas in support of the 1st Infantry Division. He participated with the 1st Infantry Division in "Reforger 77”, along with other missions with various units within the military. Bob returned to civilian life in 1978.

Bob holds degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and Prairie State College in Illinois. After 32 years plus, he retired from Rockwell Automation in 2011 as Executive VP for Global Systems, and again in 2013 as Executive/Sr. Vice President, The Oilgear Company - Global Systems. He then relocated to Mercer, where he has served with a number of community groups, including President of the Board and Executive Director for Habitat for Humanity - Northwoods WI; President of the Mercer School District Board of Education; President of the Education Foundation of Mercer; and the Mercer Planning Commission.

A Life Member of Mercer Area VFW Post 9536, Bob currently holds the office of Post Adjutant. This is his first term as District 10 Commander. Other previous offices include Post 9536 Commander; Post Quartermaster; District 10 Sr. Vice Commander (2023- 2024); three years as Sr. Vice Commander and one year as Jr. Vice Commander at VFW Post 1393 in West Bend; and District 6 Jr. Vice Commander (2010-11).
